• Good book if you are new to Civil 3D. Great for learning to put together a full project from scratch.
  
  However, most beginners are either stepping into the middle of a project or trying to document a completed project. There needs to be a special section on "How to fix it when someone else has screwed it up!"
  
  All in all, a good reference book with plenty of examples. I especially like the steps given on accessing certain menu items. Many menus on Civil 3D are buried deep. Autodesk help instructions always start in the middle as if you are already an expert in navigating the ribbon/button/tab maze. Mr. Chappell has done a very good job of starting at the beginning.
• updated version of 2014, with much of the same material. They did however leave off essentials and beyond from the end of the chapter which diminish the usefulness of this book

• Not too bad at all. I only wish the exercises in each chapter would "flow" better.

• I bought this book for a class but we didn't use it at all. it's brand new, trying to return it or resell it.
• This is a fantastic book for Civil 3D, it takes you all the way through designing a subdivision from scratch.
